Small Successes 3

  1. I nursed my sick baby 'round the clock for three days straight while my husband was out of town.
  2. I kept the other 7 kids  fed, warm, and safe.
  3. I read aloud and listened to oral narrations; I got them to Mass and I prayed with them.

That's pretty much all I did. I managed to ignore [mostly] the voices that insist this isn't enough. For those three days, it was plenty. Small things with great love.  I loved well.

What are your successes this week? This is a great exercise in holding ourselves accountable and patting ourselves on the back. I've found myself taking a good look at what "success" is in this family. It was worth a cuddled up conversation with my husband. The  internet can be a source of support and encouragement.
